Studio One
Primary Uses:
Studio One consists of a suite of three rooms: the production studio/classroom, isolation & recording room, and a video production studio.

The production studio is a fully equipped recording and production studio, set in an open environment to facilitate classroom teaching of sound design, recording, interactive composition techniques, and multimedia performance techniques.

The Isolation/Recording Room is an isolated space for high quality recording of live instruments and sounds, with a monitoring window to production workstation outside in studio one. Hardware includes a large variety of microphones (Neumann, Røde, Shure, Oktava, Earthworks, Blue Baby, PreSonus), headphone distribution system, microphone stands, music stands. The room can easily house anything from a string quartet to a 6-piece rock band.

The third room is a single-user composition and multimedia production studio featuring a Macintosh G4 dual processor, 800MHz, 512MB RAM Digital video camera, Digital video deck, DV bridge, VHS VCR, television monitor Software includes Final Cut Pro, iMovie, Photoshop, Illustrator, Pagemaker, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Freehand, ColdFusion, Flash, Media Cleaner, Max/MSP, Jitter, Pluggo, Digital Performer, Peak, DVD.
