Facilities
The Studio facilities consist of three studios for composition, research, and performance, as well as various School of Music Concert Hall facilities.
- Studio One: Large Composition/Recording/Production Studio
Features three rooms: Main studio, Isolation/Recording Room, and Video Production Room.
Studio one houses four well equipped computer work stations, each tailored to specific production and recording work. - Digital Performance Studio: One room audio mastering suite, with post-production audio and hardware.
Features ample space and equipment for rehearsals of electro-acoustic performances and techniques, including multi-channel pieces (8.1 sound).
The Digital Performance Studio houses one G5 main workstation, and up to 8 laptop-ready workstations. - Digital Music Lab: Large Lab/classroom of music workstations, for individual work and class meetings.
Features 26 G5 iMac computers each with a MIDI keyboard and audio production and composition software. - Lloyd Ultan Recital Hall: Located in Ferguson Hall, the Ultan Rectial Hall seats approximately 160 , and easily and regularly equipped with large video projection and 8.1 channel sound capabilities.
- Ted Mann Concert Hall: A world-class concert auditorium overlooking the banks of the Mississippi River. Seats 1250.
- "Off-Site" Venues: The S.T.R.U.M. Studios regularly move off campus, and into the community for concerts and presentations.
