The S.T.R.U.M. Studios hold several concerts each year as part of the "LiveWire Concert Series". Additionally, the S.T.R.U.M Studios is the founding program of the annual Spark Festival of Electronic Music and Art.LiveWire Concert Series
The LiveWire Concert series is a regular series of concerts featuring electronic and
multi-media works by students and guests. Special guests hold multi-day residencies
at S.T.R.U.M. and have included the Paul Lansky, Jon Christopher Nelson, Brad Garton,
Jøran Rudi, Judith Shatin, and Philippe Manoury. S.T.R.U.M.'s fall 2005 series will
feature guests Butch Rovan and Ulrich Maiss.
Spark Festival of Electronic Music and Art
The Spark Festival of Elctronic Music and Art is the annual festival organized by the S.T.R.U.M.
Studios. Each year, hundreds of composers and artists gather in Minneapolis for performances,
lectures, panel discussions, and research presentations. Students are encouraged to participate
in the events and get to know the presenters both artistically and personally.
